Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CoCoBun AI mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
CoCoBun AI is designed for families. If you allow a child to use the Service, you represent that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian and you consent to the child’s use of the Service under these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect information, including children’s information and parental rights under COPPA.
We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
You may need an account to use certain features. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your account credentials, and promptly notify us of any unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
Some features may require payment (e.g., subscriptions). Purchases may be processed through Apple App Store or Google Play (“App Store Providers”).
Billing and renewals are handled by the App Store Providers under their terms.
Cancellations and refunds are subject to the App Store Providers’ policies, unless required by law.
Deleting the app does not automatically cancel subscriptions.
The Service may allow you and/or your child to submit content such as text prompts, story preferences, character names, or voice recordings (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the license you grant us below.
To operate the Service, you grant CoCoBun a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your User Content only as needed to:
generate and deliver stories (text/audio/illustrations),
maintain story history and account functionality,
improve reliability, safety, and performance of the Service (e.g., debugging, abuse prevention),
comply with legal obligations.
We do not need (and do not claim) ownership of your family’s voice or identity.
You agree not to misuse the Service. You will not:
upload or submit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content,
attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the Service,
access the Service using automated scraping or abusive methods,
use the Service to create content that is hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate—especially involving minors.
We may remove content or suspend access if we believe there is misuse or risk.
The Service may generate content using artificial intelligence. AI outputs may be inaccurate or unexpected. The Service is provided for entertainment and learning support and is not professional advice (medical, legal, financial, educational diagnosis, etc.). Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising children’s use.
The Service, including software, designs, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks (including “CoCoBun AI”), is owned by CoCoBun or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted, no rights are granted to you.
The Service may rely on third-party providers (cloud hosting, analytics limited to internal operations, payment processors via app stores, AI processing providers). Your use of third-party services may be subject to their terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COCOBUN WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT WILL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US (IF ANY) IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for safety, security, or legal reasons.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding conflict of law rules.
